Ed's Feeling Grumpy...

  • Mood:
  • Music: "Want It All Back" - The Seatbelts

Ed is feeling very grumpy....

Ed's Tomato (that's my computer) has been acting like a "Lemon" lately. Ed thought it was a virus, but Ed's virus software said "No, it's not! Your computer is clean!" So, Ed wondered why. After much investigation, Ed found out that Tomato is sick with "Spyware"!!!

Ed played "nurse" to Tomato and downloaded several Spyware programs to get rid of this nasty germ! But.... alas! *gasp* The software could not remove the Spyware! Why? Well, it said, the files cannot be cleaned, because these files are in a "write-protected" folder. Ai-yi!

So Ed is now on a quest to find the key, that will open a portal to a hell dimension... er... no... No, the key on how to get rid of the Spyware in Ed's "write-protected" folder!

Until then... Ed feels grumpy!

Tried stuff like Ad-Aware and Spybot - Search and Destroy? Where is this "write-protected" folder? Can you delete the folder itself? Regedit is a last-ditch attempt, and anyone who is uncertain can end up screwing up the computer. What are these files? Maybe if you search "how to fix _____", maybe something will come up. Sorry if I can't help much; I'm a hacker in training. ^^;

>.< Yah, that happened to me too, Ed. But I had to go out and buy a whole new computer to end it. O.O; I deleted all mu common files so the computer didn't work properly and crashed all the time. Go out and buy McAfee programs if you haven't already, those helped me a bit.

Thanks for the advice! Ed does have McAfee, though. It won't get rid of the spyware in the folder, which is the Common Files. So deleting the folder would be a HUGE mistake. >_<
But, Ed will try one of the others, like SpyBot

hmm...as a last resort you can burn all of your stuf onto discs and format your hard drive, download some virus protection progams and get your stuff back onto your computer withthe discs. it may not seem like a good idea but it is a last resort. my friend had like 58 spyware virus' on his pc and had to do a system restore so umm yeah^^; i have some viruses on my pc to though, really screws it up....im gonna format soon^^
